Slice of heaven

I find it funny that when I am pulling shots of interiors that call to me, they all seem to be SO different. The two living room pics above are bright and airy, but in very different ways. The bedroom image could not be further from my current bedroom decor (well, sometimes I have orange in my duvet cover). But now I want to warm it up and make it an opium den (not really, but doesn't it have that vibe). AND THAT MONKEY!! I want that thing. SO. BAD.

Green Wall

A while back I did a post about painting a wall in my house fuchsia. It was the worst  a bad idea! I don't know if it was the sheen (should have done matte), or the size of the wall (very small, above the fire place) but it went back to the color of all the other walls REAL quick like. Yesterday while surfing I found this green wall. It is so rich and moody feeling. I am really diggin' it. What do you think?

Color for the season

all images from Pantonism

As the the air gets cooler and the leaves change, everything starts to glow with an orange hue. Orange also continues to be a dominate color on the runways, as we saw again this season. Making me and my ginger hair very happy that we will stay current with the trends. Orange is one of those amazing colors that can evoke so many feelings all at once. In September it means both warm and cool on a collision path, diving straight into fall.

Philippe Starck. Beautiful. Bold. Well said.

Eat Your Veggies

Or just print them out and hang them on the wall. These beautiful images come from a book that is featured on this installment of 1st Dibs. I have been inspired by a lot in this issue.

Reclaim

Obviously I have an obsession with reclaimed wood lately. Can't stop thinking about the tables I would love to have in my house, IF I had the space.

Multi Color

This before and after blows my freakn' mind! Sarah took a plain white wall and covered it with reclaimed wood. The result is stunning! So creative. Seriously amazing!

Succulent

I have been very obsessed with succulents lately, I have more than a few babies of my own. I am loving that this cool and very fashionable couple used them everywhere in their wedding decor. Cheap and easy.

Brazil is not in my top 10 of places to see, but this house in San Paulo does peak my interest. What lucky people! Talk about bringing the outside in.

Stretch It Out

Wanting/lusting and kind of needing a new sofa. Really into all the ones below, the colors as well. What to do?!
