San Francisco here I come!

In one week I will be in the city by the bay!  I am very excited to leave behind my usual surrounds.  Shopping at Zara and Mango, eating, drinking wine and touring Alcatraz are all on the itinerary.  Any other suggestion? Especially on where to shop.

TV Lamps

I am really obsessed with TV lamps right now.  Back when TV was brand new, people thought it was bad for your eyes.  So, the TV lamp was used to bring a little more light into the room, lessening the strain on the viewers eyes.  Cool story for a cool light!

Hair lust

Getting my hair cut next week and I need to rock it out.  I think my hair icon right now is Alison Mosshart from The Kills and The Dead Weather.  Think I am gonna do it...

8 inches

We had our first snow fall in Minneapolis over the weekend.  8 inches of wet, heavy snow covered the city.  My arms will never recover from shoveling.  Suddenly the holidays feel like they are right around the corner.

As the weather gets colder I can't help but think about how I am going to keep from freezing to death.  No matter how many years I live here I still dread the cold.  Here are some stylish boots that will help keep my toes from frost bite.

Vintage Photos

On thing that I really enjoy is finding pictures of Minneapolis from the 20's and 30's.  I love seeing what my city used to look like before cars and paved streets.  Here are some photo I found from around the country by a photographer named John Vachon; most are from the late 1930's.

Office Lust

I work in advertising, in a really cool old train repair building.  The space is amazing and unique, but I can't help lusting after the offices (mostly the office furniture) from Mad Men.  Or, maybe it's because they are in New York......
